Toronto Home Staging Furniture

Friday, February 25th, 2011

Selling a home is stressful, but Executive Furniture Rentals can help by providing Toronto home staging furniture. Whether you plan to do the job yourself, or hire a professional home stager, your home should look its best before potential buyers come through to judge the property. Staging is all about maximizing the most sellable features of your home, so incorporating high-quality, modern furniture can make a big impact. That’s where we come in.

Our selection of Toronto home furniture is available to rent through flexible lease plans, so it’s perfect for an endeavor like home staging. The goal is to get your home sold as soon as possible and for the best price, so we will work with you to make convenient arrangements. When choosing Toronto home staging furniture, we recommend going for a neutral color palette and choosing pieces that reflect modern interior decorating trends.

Remember, you’re creating the first impression for potential buyers who visit your home, so the details count. That’s why we provide a great selection of furniture rental in Toronto, with offerings from great office furniture right down to accessories like area rugs and artwork. These will make every room in your house look streamlined and clean, yet cozy and livable. We’ve gathered a few basic home staging tips to share, which you should definitely keep in mind when attempting to stage it yourself. It’s a cost-effective alternative to hiring a professional, but does require a significant investment of time and effort.

For starters, clean as thoroughly as possible. Even the best Toronto home staging furniture will be less effective if the room around it looks dirty or cluttered. Plan on cleaning tile grout and addressing carpet stains. If you have a lot of collectibles or small figurines on display, go ahead and pack those up before showing the home. You will have to pack them at some point anyway, and their personal nature could prevent potential buyers from envisioning their own lives in the space.

Green Furniture in Sonoma, California

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

As purveyors of some of the finest furniture rental in Toronto around, we know great furniture when we see it—after all, we see it every day in our showroom.  But simply because we’re in the furniture field doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate what others do.  Far from it, actually.  We thrill at seeing elegant, novel approaches to home furnishing, approaches like what Michael Palace of Sonoma, California does.

We came across an article about Michael Palace’s furniture creations, located on SonomaPatch while trawling through our trusty saved search for “furniture” on our favorite news aggregator.  Palace has a background in art and design and has spent decades working as a carpenter, contractor, and custom remodeler.  After realizing the sheer amount of waste that is produced via construction can be alarmingly high, he decided to do something about it.  He started off by saving usable pieces of construction materials and figuring out a way to repurpose them.  He now puts his findings to good use by designing and creating custom-designed furniture.

The article is an engaging and worthwhile read.  In addition to describing how he comes across the materials he uses for his creations (sometimes by donation, other times by simple foraging), the article highlights the benefits of Palace’s waste-not approach. Palace’s work process is also given some treatment.

A particularly rewarding passage occurs when the author, Morgan Ray, describes how Palace constructs his carefully wrought creations by using tried-and-true methods of quality furniture crafting, not simple fixes like nails and screws.  Ray describes the “mortise and tenon joints, dovetail drawers and doweled jambs” Palace frequently employs, which we find to be a rather pretty turn of phrase.

From one organization that understands quality furniture to Palace, a kindred spirit located in sunny California, we offer cheers and support for fighting the good fight.

Office Furniture: Buyers Growing Wary of Price Tag

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

We pride ourselves in providing office furniture in Toronto at a fair price.  We also pride ourselves in being able to offer office furniture in Toronto in a variety of ways, such as via rental or by way of clearance furniture sales.  Both of these options allow increased flexibility for office furniture purchasers, permitting them to acquire the furniture they’re looking for in the most cost-effective way available to them.

Cost-effective office furniture acquisition is increasingly important these days, even with rumors of an economic rebound on the horizon.  According to an article about office furniture we found on HeraldNet, the website for The Herald of Everett, Washington, there appears to be a trend in the Puget Sound area away from the purchase of brand-new furniture and towards the purchase of clearance furniture, something we may see mirrored for purchases of office furniture in Toronto.

Brian Hollingshead, the owner of Everett Office Furniture, a retailer that sells new and used office furniture in the Everett area, has certainly noticed a trend in his own business.  Where two years ago about 25 percent of his sales were for used or clearance furniture, today, that number hovers closer to half.  That’s a pretty big jump.  Hollingshead also has a wonderful quote about the rationale for selling clearance furniture.

“You put a desk in a spot and there isn’t much to go wrong with it,” he said.

We can certainly agree with that statement.  Clearance furniture at Executive Furniture Rentals is always top-notch, and our office furniture in Toronto is particularly strong.  Since office furniture is often more sturdy than home furniture, something the HeraldNet article points out, finding excellent pieces of pre-owned furniture is surprisingly easy.

The next time you’re considering office furniture in Toronto, it might help to think beyond purchasing new furniture.  Clearance furniture and rental solutions are also great options.  Contact us today to learn more.

Furniture For All Occasions

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

We pride ourselves as the premier Toronto furniture rental solution out there.  We endeavor to stay atop of this by maintaining a commitment to high quality service, value, expertise, and professionalism.  This manifests itself in the range and quality of services we offer, from our home furniture in Toronto options to our office furniture in Toronto lines to our special events and home staging suites.  Our unwavering commitment to quality has been a core value of ours here at Executive Furniture Rentals from the very beginning.

While rooted firmly in our tradition of unparalleled excellence, however, we continue to make strides toward the future.  Among other things, we do so by reading a variety of furniture-, relocation-, and rental-themed blogs and articles.  We like to, from time to time, bring some of our findings to you.  Some of the posts we find can be illuminating, some can be engaging, and some can be outright fun.

Today, we stumbled across a press release on SFGate.com about ViaBoxes.  ViaBoxes are, according to the press release, “furniture cubes” that can be combined in any number of ways to provide a growing family or business with a variety of furniture options, depending on their needs at that given moment.

We’re big fans of this sort of forward-thinking solution.  We, as purveyors of Toronto furniture rental, understand the difficulties inherent in planning ahead, along with the benefits of doing so.  Clever solutions that make the hassle of relocating or expanding or simply changing less rigorous can be brilliant in our book.

The next time you’re looking to do some of that in the Toronto area, don’t hesitate to contact us.  We’ll put forth our full efforts to make sure you’ve got the best solutions to your unique needs, whether that be rental furniture for one or clearance furniture for an entire office.

Toronto Furniture Rental: IDS11 Approaches!

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

That’s right, folks—for a Toronto furniture rental establishment such as ourselves, the 13th annual Interior Design Show, located in our very own Toronto, is a highly anticipated event.  Shucks, we’ll go beyond that and call it a “feast for the senses.”  There’s a good reason for that: In the 13 years that the Interior Design Show’s been gracing Toronto, it has hosted over 4,000 designers, firms, companies, and studios to strut their stuff.  In that same time period, over 550,000 visitors have flocked to Toronto to see what the leading luminaries in contemporary interior design from all across Canada and the world over have been up to.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to check out some new designer furniture for your home or office, or simply to get inspired by the latest trends.  Plenty of speakers will also be on-hand for further inspiration and/or instruction.

This event is an excellent way to the city of Toronto itself to showcase itself as a cutting-edge location in terms of design.  We fervently believe that this is the case, a case strengthened when Toronto holds world-renowned showcases like the Interior Design Show.

All the information in this post regarding the Interior Design Show was taken from their excellent, informative website.  Browse the Interior Design Show website here.

At Executive Furniture Rentals, we like to have the finest furnishings for home and office that are available on the market.  That’s because we highly value our customers and want to provide them with the best possible furniture rental experience.  Our office furniture in Toronto solutions are unparalleled, for example.  We’re also proud to support home staging in Toronto, which is a rapidly burgeoning field that helps frame the home or office you’re trying to sell in the most beneficial, attractive light for prospective buyers.  At Executive Furniture Rentals, we’re here to make your your Toronto-affiliated relocation goes as smoothly as possible.

Toronto Home Furniture Rental: Fit For Any Occasion

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

Toronto home furniture rental services are an excellent route to take when furnishing your new living space for a number of reasons.  It’s not just for using as a temporary solution before your furniture arrives from your previous residence, or before you can buy your own furnishings, though those are certainly two reasons to do so.  As we mentioned in a blog post a couple of weeks ago, Toronto home furniture rental is a perfect solution for keeping on top of the latest trends and fashions in the furniture world.  Instead of buying contemporary furniture that starts to look worn and dated as the years go buy, renting furniture affords the purchaser the ability to keep her home’s interior looking cutting-edge and new at all times.

There are other reasons to opt for Toronto home furniture rental, including some that might surprise you.  Consider, for example, the college freshman.  She or he is away from home for the first time and is looking for utility above all else.  Fashion, while a plus, is not the guiding principle.  That’s why innovative—if not exactly eye-popping—furniture solutions such as the bedroom in a box are marketed.  Once the student graduates and gets a job that allows them to eat, the hastily purchased furniture they acquired goes in the proverbial dustbin of history.

We now pose a question: Why not circumvent this whole wasteful and unattractive solution with Toronto home furniture rental services?  By renting Toronto home furniture, the student will be able to spend less money for nicer furniture, impressing her peers and maybe—just maybe—herself, for making such a shrewd decision, as well.  Furthermore, when she graduates, she can return the furniture and move wherever she wishes, unencumbered by unattractive, utilitarian furnishings.  It’s a win-win!

The next time you’re on the market for Toronto home furniture, consider Executive Furniture Rentals.  Though we have an impressive variety of such products, that’s not all we offer.  We also possess a wide of office furniture in Toronto.  Contact us to learn more.

Toronto Furniture Rental: Conquer Moving With It!

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

We believe that using a Toronto furniture rental solution such as us will allow you to make moving a much simpler task.  And moving is one of those things that needs all the simplification it can get.

Think, for example, of your daily habit.  Many of those who are on the market for Toronto furniture rental services here in the city are employed in the financial, tech, or business services fields, two of the leading industries in the Toronto area.  Many people working in these fields have a set schedule where the anchor of that schedule is their workday.  Before and after that are all the little daily or weekly or otherwise periodic tasks—dropping off and picking up the kids, going to the grocery store, jogging, and so on—that make up our routine.

Now consider moving.  Moving is a massive, all-encompassing project that disrupts our routine.  There are countless elements of the whole process that need to be balanced and executed.  All of them take a degree of time and effort, and very little of it operates exactly on your time.

We just read an opinion column in the Wichita Falls, Texas Times Record News in which the author exhorts her readers to remember to exercise and eat well when undergoing a move.  The reason she does so is because of moving’s disruptive effect on our lives.

That said, moving can be made significantly easier by employing a Toronto furniture rental solution such as ourselves.  Renting furniture allows you to completely avoid the headache of coordinating movers for heavy, expensive objects and allows you to focus on other things, like getting back into your routine.

Toronto furniture rental is easier than ever before with Executive Furniture Rentals.  Our entire suite of services, from Toronto furniture rental to home staging and clearance furniture, is geared toward making your life easier.  Contact us today to learn more.

Toronto Home Furniture: Renting Gaining Widespread Acceptance

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

We’ve always been big fans of our Toronto home furniture solutions.  Now, you might think that we’re a little biased: Because we offer Toronto home furniture, we’re inclined to think highly of it, the logic goes.  However, that formula’s actually flipped.  We offer Toronto home furniture rentals because we think the service is a good one and because we’re capable of offering it at a high level.  If we didn’t think that way and weren’t capable of delivering, then we wouldn’t offer it.  That’s how we work at Executive Furniture Rentals.

It doesn’t surprise us, then, when we see validation for our stance on home furniture rental.  This week, such validation came in the form of an article on Franchisee.net.au, the online presence of Franchise Magazine.  The article is about home rental trends, and those trends are generally pointing upward.

Not only are trends pointing upward, the article points out, but many of the new home furniture rental converts are of a wealthier socioeconomic background than people who favored such services in the past.  According to to Alan Payne, the manager of a furniture rental chain in Australia and New Zealand, there are several reasons for this.

First is the increased mobility of the modern consumer.  Rather than getting a low-level job in a massive company and slowly climbing the corporate ladder over the years, today’s upwardly mobile, young professionals bounce around from company to company, leapfrogging.  That means more moves, which means less of a desire to be attached to a bevy of heavy furniture.

Another reason is the increased speed new fashion trends approach and recede.  Those same mobile consumers want to have the latest products—a desire that can be more easily facilitated, by the way, now that that consumer is moving much more.

Our Toronto home furniture solutions are top-notch, but it’s not all we offer.  We also provide excellent office furniture in Toronto, along with a host of other products designed to make any transition within Toronto a smooth experience.

Home Furniture Toronto: A $210,000 Bed?!

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

Our home furniture Toronto selection is carefully chosen to appeal to a wide variety of tastes and budgets.  With styles ranging from classic to contemporary, we’ve got all your home furniture in Toronto needs covered.

Furniture is our passion, and we spend a lot of time keeping abreast of industry news.  From time to time, we’ll come across something that is so exciting it’s worthy of sharing with you all.  Count this as one of those experiences:

Parnian Furniture, a Scottsdale, Arizona-based contemporary furniture designer and manufacturer, has designed and released a bed for the ages.  Starting at US$38,000, the bed comes with options that can increase the price to as high as US$210,000.  (Yes, that’s supposed to be a comma, not a decimal!)

Of course, with a price tag like that, you’d expect the bed from Parnian to come with quite a few features.  And boy, does it.  The fully loaded version of this veritable space-age sleep station features a built-in iPad holder, television and computer monitors that can pop up and swivel around, various hidden compartments, LED touch lights, backlights, attached nightstands, and charging stations.  Oh, and there’s a bevy of gold and stainless steel detailing in there, to boot.

Other finishing touches:  ebony, sapele and maple woods, a staggeringly intricate sunburst inlay for the headboard.  Should you be on the market for this bed, know that mattress options include wool, cotton, latex, and (of course) horsehair.

We first came across the bed at while perusing Furniture Today, a useful furniture industry magazine.  You can see it on the slideshow on the Parnian homepage.  Needless to say, the bed looks positively stunning.  We don’t happen to have an extra US$210,000 laying around, but we can’t help but wonder: Do we need a license to take that thing out on a test drive?  And if not, may we conk out on that thing for a few hours?
