Furniture Rental World Wide

Monday, November 30th, 2009

With the tap of your finger, the world seems so much smaller, yet, it has become better than ever, with immeasurable goods and services presented on your private screen. Quite amazing! This certainly is the case with furniture rental. All major furniture rental companies have web sites which you can learn, understand and even order online. The question is, even though a company’s first impression may be amazing, even though a company may have the highest Google ranking, does that make the service and the quality of the furniture better and dare I say, reliable? No, but there is an alternative way to measure a furniture rental company’s credibility.

One way that I am very proud of, is to be a member of the Cort Global Furniture Rental Network. The network is a group of 30 plus countries in the world that provide furniture rental with the capability of having a central reservation office to assist with the prompt and professional process of acquiring quality home and office furniture rental, anywhere in the world. This is an incredible advantage for global relocation companies and international corporations. Every member furniture rental company has been thoroughly screened by Cort Furniture Rental, a Berkshire-Hathaway company, to ensure that the highest standard of service and ethics is met. When a company uses a Cort Global member, they have chosen a company with the highest degree of references. Why do more relocation companies use Cort Global Furniture Rental Network members than any other furniture rental companies in the world? The answer: because they are better.

If you require furniture rental in another country, please click onto the “Globe” logo of the Executive Furniture Rentals website located on the homepage. That will get you started. Choose your destination country and you’ll be in touch with one of our operators within 24 hours. Furniture for hire or rental in the Global Village has never been so easy!

Furniture for Hire

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Furniture for hire is the perfect way to furnish a home quickly and for not much money. Whether you’re relocating due to a job, if you’re selling your property and would like to use home staging to help, or another reason, furniture for hire often just makes sense. Buying furniture, whether it’s for home or office, can get very expensive. What’s more is that you have to worry about delivery, and sometimes you even have to put the furniture together. That’s time and money that a lot of people just don’t have. So with furniture for hire, your order can be delivered right to your home or office, usually within a couple of days. Read on to find out more about furniture for hire, a convenient option.

Office Furniture for Hire

Giving your employees a comfortable place to work is important. And with office furniture for hire, you’ll be able to choose from an impressive selection of desks, chairs and storage like filing cabinets. Want to change the look of your office in no time, or order more furniture for a new employee? Maybe a worker wants a bigger desk, or a different style chair. With office furniture for hire, it’s never been easier to do all this.

Home Staging Furniture for Hire

Home staging is the way to go if you’d like to make your home more appealing to potential buyers. Buying all new furniture is too costly and unnecessary — just get furniture for hire. Your home will be transformed in a matter of days. At Executive Furniture Rentals, we can even help you with home staging planning so you’ll be able to pick out the furniture for hire that will work best in your home.

Furniture for Hire: Change it up!

Yet another positive aspect of furniture for hire is that you’re able to change the look and feel of a room without having to mess with selling old furniture and buying all new chairs, sofas, etc. If you decide that black leather sofa is just too big for your living room, you can instead rent a loveseat, for example. For home or office, having this option is wonderful.

Used Office Furniture: A Great Option

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Used office furniture, when bought for the right reasons, can be a wise decision for the bottom-line and prove to be environmentally a sustainable initiative.

Used Office FurnitureThe misconception about purchasing used office furniture, pre-rented or pre-owned, is the belief one will find exactly what they are looking for. Yes- there are deals to be made but knowing the right source(s) and I mean legitimate and honest sources, is the key. Getting guidance from a professional will avoid your company from ending up with a “quilt” décor or your home office with a non-ergonomic furniture dating from the 60’s.

The interesting shift in today’s used office furniture market is the inexpensive importation of office furniture from Asia. Think of it, is it better to buy used or new for the same price? To me, quality of the product is very important, especially if electrics are involved but on the other hand warranty issues must be considered. If it is used, will your dealer guarantee the product if it is used, and for how long? Another important factor is how accessible or readily available is the furniture if your company should need to add on due to expansion. These are just things that should be considered from the onset.

Great sources of used office furniture are furniture rental companies, office furniture re-sellers, reputable furniture contract companies with warehouse operations and auction houses.

Getting Used Office Furniture

If you require used office furniture and need assistance or guidance, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be very glad to give you an objective assessment of your needs and lead you towards the best path.

If you wish to save money by acquiring used office furniture, my best advice is to research your options and give yourself time to do so. Rushing will only prove to be self defeating. If you need the furniture immediately, you can always consider office furniture rental as an interim solution!

What is Your Disaster Plan?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Bob Dylan was “right on” when he wrote, “…The times, they are a changing!…” Within just a few years, in our own city, Toronto, we have experienced electrical blackouts, tornados, viral pandemics, terrorist plots and the effects of a global financial meltdown. Fortunately, the effects of the above were minimized and/or prevented from becoming much worse. My point is that, when I was growing up, these were issues that we read in the newspaper and seemed so far away; now, it is happening in our own backyard. What as a community, as a city, as a nation are we doing to plan for future catastrophic events that will affect us all?

I attended, last week, the monthly MPI (Meeting Planners International) meeting who hosted a panel discussion regarding Business Continuity Planning (BCP). The very fact that business is raising this most important issue to the foreground means that it is serious and essential for all of us to get involved and contribute.

There are basically three distinct control measures within a BCP: a) preventive measures aimed at preventing an event from occurring b) detective measures aimed at detecting or discovering unwanted events and c) corrective measures aimed at correcting or restoring the system after a disaster or event.

Rental Furniture: Ready to be Mobilized

Executive Furniture Rentals is very involved with business in assisting and creating solutions in the latter phase, corrective controls. Office rental furniture is ready to be mobilized into make shift properties, rental furniture for homes can be delivered within 48 hours. Presently, insurance brokers and adjusters take advantage of such services for re-settlement due to fires and most recently the tornado damage that occurred this summer.

I urge businesses, if they haven’t done so already, to develop an internal BCP and have it annually reviewed. As a leading Toronto furniture rental company, I would personally be very glad to participate and assist in such planning efforts. Also remember, continuity planning is not just for business, we can even start from within our own families.

I am reminded by Murphy’s Law that, “If anything can go wrong, it will.” We hope it won’t, but as citizens within our social and economic communities, best we be pro-active because the other alternative, reaction, often will create chaos and panic. Now is the time to plan. If you’d like some assistance with your plan or want to know more about rental furniture, feel free to contact us.
